COMMUNITY PHOTO DAYS

We began hosting our community photo days after a string of successful events throughout August 2022. in collaboration with gravy studio. After taking family photos at Northern Liberties Recreational Center, and comprehensive photos at Bartram's Garden, we received feedback from community members expressing their desires for it to be a recurring event. On January 15th, we began hosting our Community Photo Days at Babytooth serving local entrepreneurs, actors, families, and everyone else interested in capturing a piece of themselves and their place in history.

Homies Helping Homies is planning to expand our photography services to more locations within Philadelphia to provide more accessibility to our services within the community, Community Photo Days are an integral part of our mission, by creating spaces and engaging in spaces by POC for POC we aim to not only provide an important and meaningful asset to those who need it, but also bring our community together to support one another in a space that feels safe for all. Ultimately, we aim to accomplish the aforementioned projects and expand to community outreach programs for our future generations and host educational courses for those with a passion for photography but are hindered by systemic barriers to entry within the arts.
